Nancy Mercier
Candidate for Madawaska–Restigouche
Your Resilient Voice for Real Solutions

Nancy Mercier is a bilingual New Brunswicker with deep roots in Campbellton who has transformed personal adversity into public service. For over three decades, Nancy navigated and reformed the very systems that impact your daily lives—healthcare, small business, government programs, and community services.
When faced with a severe spinal cord injury from a car accident 30 years ago that left her paralyzed from the shoulders down, Nancy went beyond surviving—she created lasting change. As one of the first Canadians to fully rehabilitate at home with a high level spinal cord injury, she transformed her personal challenge into a catalyst for systemic change, helping shape home health care models nationwide that influenced vital programs like Extra-Mural Home Health Care Services. Nancy’s journey wasn't just about personal recovery—it was about creating solutions for thousands of others facing similar challenges.
Her track record of change didn’t stop there. As a founding member and Atlantic Regional Coordinator of the People's Party of Canada, and a federal candidate in both 2019 and 2021 elections, Nancy has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the principles of freedom, personal responsibility, fairness, and respect—even when the path wasn't easy. She worked closely with communities across this region and beyond, engaging with Canadians on the issues that matter most—economic hardships, healthcare access, democratic integrity, and individual rights, consistently demonstrating the resolve needed to advocate effectively.
Nancy’s resilience extends to the business world. After building expertise in finance at Pfizer and other leading pharmaceutical companies, she managed her husband’s successful construction and renovation business for over five years, securing an exclusive pro installation services contract with Home Depot in Greater Moncton and NB Housing Government contracts. She understands the demands of business—managing people, negotiating contracts, and meeting deadlines. Her experience has taught her how to overcome market challenges, adapt to changing conditions, and still deliver quality results on time and on budget.
For more than a decade, Nancy served as an Interfaith minister, spiritual-pastoral caregiver, and grief counsellor, guiding over 400 individuals and their families through their end-of-life journey. This work demands exceptional emotional resilience—the ability to remain steady, discreet, and focused through profoundly difficult situations. These are the same qualities she brings to every leadership role she undertakes.
Nancy’s contributions to healthcare education as a certified Naturotherapist (n.d.) included over 2 years of volunteer work with the New Brunswick Ministry of Health teaching the Stanford University Chronic Disease Self-Management Course, empowering individuals to take control of their health and wellness. Beyond that, her entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish a not-for-profit religious and educational organization while operating online businesses dedicated to non-profit fundraising initiatives for community needs. These efforts highlight her innovative approach to solving local challenges while improving quality of life for others. Nancy doesn’t wait for solutions—she builds them!
Most recently, Nancy has completed extensive research into the rise of technocracy and creeping Marxist- Communism in Canada—an alarming trend that is eroding our freedoms, national sovereignty, and democratic institutions. Her findings will soon be published and expanded into a podcast and blog, where she will continue exploring this urgent topic and other pressing issues affecting Canadians. This ongoing work reflects her commitment to protecting Canadian values and freedoms through informed, courageous leadership and her refusal to stay silent when the stakes are high.
Nancy’s life is a blueprint for what’s possible when resilience is backed by purpose. Whether breaking through barriers in healthcare, business, or politics, she doesn’t just talk about solutions—she creates them. Her leadership is tested, proven, and focused on delivering real results.
As your Member of Parliament for Madawaska–Restigouche, Nancy will bring that same determination, resilience, and real-world experience to Ottawa. Her focus is on solutions that work—not promises that sound good. She spent her life overcoming obstacles, building solutions, improving systems, and showing what’s possible with determined leadership and a track record of results.
